No, it's because he seems pissed....

this is a group for football supporters, so, i posted two links that are interesting because they are actually clubs set up and run by their supporters.

in the current era where money dominates / ruins the game - and some clubs are threatened with going under completely - i think that fans actually owning their club is a very good idea. i hope there will be many more clubs on this model.

I agree, it's a shit situation and AFC Wimbledon are great lads, really good stuff IMO. :icon_cool

Watched soccer am and the brentford fans said that they are doing the same thing and trying to buy the club! :icon_wink

yeh i heard that brentford had been bought out by the fans as well. also lincoln city i think.

there is a difference between a club run as a co-operative (all profit goes back to the club) and a club that's just been bought out by a fans consortium (run as a business to make profit still), but either way, as more and more clubs are threatened with going broke fans will have to step in to save them.

Leicester Foxes or Leicester Fosse would be good names for a Leicester version of an FC United.... but obviously you'd need a lot of fans to want this, and players / coaches etc. to set such a team up. Really it would only happen if the real Leicester City were closed down or became too expensive to watch / too commercialised etc etc. I guess a fan's buy out is more likely. I'm sure we'll be going bust again soon so who knows what could happen.

There are lots of clubs in worser situations than ourselves. We survived once, and we will again if we ever get into a situation like we did 3 years ago.
