I don't understand then why Cronus were ever involved ? Why didn't AFI just buy us outright in the first place?

How significant a contribution financially did Cronus make in terms of funding for signings etc? I wonder if this will affect our plans for the summer (though I doubt it considering they only had 20%)

I doubt we'll ever get any legitimate answers to these questions though

you could say this is top news

Maybe Cronus were the mystery investors (remember the FT whinging about that?) who have since changed their mind.

Good news IMO. Would much rather we were wholly owned, hopefully prevents potential complications in the long run. It also serves to reinforce their commitment to the club and the project we have here at this moment in time.

Wasn't the mystery investor that Arif guy? Hazzman posted something about him wanting to take over Anderlecht a while back so maybe that's why he's sold up.

I would say it allows for much more complications in the long run. There's a reason there are rules in Germany against owning more than 51% of a club and it is no coincidence the number of clubs going into admin over there is considerably less despite having much cheaper ticket prices in general.

Buy Out

Top and his dad now own all the club, however I do wonder if Lord Triesmans accusations in the House of Commons Select Committee may have triggered this buy out. One of Triesmans accusations concerned a Thai FIFA member. Could he have been involved, in the consortium which previously owned 20% of the Club ? its a question not an accusation.

What is the basis of this question apart from the obvious Thai connection? :102: My understanding is the previous 20% was owned by a group of Indonesians.
