He's also got an appaling disciplinary record and is attitude has been questioned at more than one club

i dont know how boothroyd keeps going to decent clubs he is average at best, living on a non-exsistant reputation

According to our favourite site todays rumour is :

Middlesborough will sell Brad Jones to Leicester for £1 million as Southgate aims to raise funds for a new keeper to replace Mark Schwarzer.

So maybe a GK coming to the walkers after all.

Can't see that record justifying a £1m fee

Championship Manager seems to be losing its inspirational touch:

LEICESTER CITY RUMOUR

Paul Dickov will sign for City in the next 2–3 days, despite heavy speculation linking him with a move to Blackpool.

This opens the gates for Steve Howard to leave, with Norwich set to capture the forward with an offer of around £1.5 million.

Also, Nigel Pearson has agreed to sell Patrick Kisnorbo to Rangers in January, if the Centre–Back recovers from injury.

Leicester turn down Canaries bid for striker

DAVID CUFFLEY, EVENING NEWS SPORT

The Canaries were today reported to have had a bid rejected for Leicester City striker Steve Howard.

One national newspaper claimed City had a £500,000 offer turned down for Howard, previously linked with a move to Carrow Road this summer.

The 32-year-old was a target for former Norwich boss Nigel Worthington two years ago, but instead moved from Luton to Derby for £1m and helped them win promotion to the Premiership.

He joined Leicester for £1.5m last January but his six goals failed to save them from relegation to League One.

Whether Howard is the “big striker” manager Glenn Roeder hopes to sign in seven to 14 days remains to be seen, but the future of two more experienced forwards mentioned as potential City targets is still undecided.

anything is better than SH.

Against Brum it looked like someone pushed a steel rod up his arse and nailed it in to the ground.

He doesnt move, he does feck all.

For half a million we could a half decent League 1/Championship forward.

Like who?

He also scored more goals then Campbell and Fryatt in less appearances. He might be crap but he is still the best we have got and worth a lot more than £500k.

Stop being silly Scarby.Howard is a proven Goalscorer at this level. If they double the offer then it might be worth selling him,if we have a replacement lined up

We will wait and see. If Howard stays MF will score more goals than him.

IMO he is useless, lazy and just cant be bothered.

So if both stay all season long you reckon Fryatt will score more goals than Howard ? How much would you like to wager ? If either leave before the end of the season the bet is void

With Matty's recent burst of goals in pre-season this could be his level and i would place a few pounds on that for him to become top goal scorer.

Based on the two friendlies I've seen Fratt will outscore Howard - and I never thought I would say that, but Fryatt actually appears like a footballer at the moment - Howard, on what I've seen doesn't.
