Sounds like good man management to me, get the players who under performed last season (stayed for the ride) put them on the transfer list, no-one comes in for most of them. Scare the crap out of them (take them out of the comfort zone) and they will jump through hoops for you. Which is what he has done. If they want to be snapped up by another team they will have to perform and whilst they do we benefit !!!

Yes - imagine that they are having a dreadful time collecting a couple of grand per week for doing f--k all. It must be terrible to have all that pressure knowing that there are no expectations of them whatsoever.

Back in reality, I think we have now established that no one is going to snap them up - they are part of the army of failed pros who will probably end up in non-league football within a year or so.

On a more serious note, I am with Beighton in being concerned about lack of any more (quality) newcomers. My optimism has been based on the promised further strengthening. Hopefully, this will still happen - because if it doesn't I suspect that the current optimism will gradually fade. Still looks like a squad with big gaps to me.

No mention of bringing in these extra 2-3 players they keep banging on about at the club.

Sorry to disapoint but my comment was firmly tongue in cheek in anticipation of somebody saying similar :icon_conf :icon_redf I am happy with the current squad.

Glad to hear that.....I hope that you continue to be happy if the present squad is as good as it gets.

Incidentally, not blaming anyone (for a change), I'm sure Milan is doing everything possible to bring in some more quality. But as we know following the last few dismal seasons that is not an easy task, at the moment.

I think because nobody has shown any interest, MA has decided that he might as well try and get something out of them. Its also a good message to give the squad, that effort gets rewarded, and will have a positive effect on the dressing room. I don't see a problem with involving them if we can't get rid. They will only play if they deserve to.

On the subject of more signings, i wonder if there is no more money available, and pottential signings were dependant on players leaving? Though i expect there will some tucked aside for January.

The transfer window is open for a while yet! If we are after more signings then it's by no means 100% necessary we get them prior to the Blackpool game!

I Know, but even the press are quiet on the rumours front. No hints in MAs comments. Perhaps doesn't help that Bob and RN haven't been drip feeding us info lately, so seems to have gone quiet. i just get the feeling that not much is happening on that front.

you should have seen him last night......

shocking..... and he had the arm band on !!!

I agree - presumably Fryatt top of that list.

I can't say that I rated him that highly when we had him first time round and never really understood why we had him back a second time. Maybe it's gonna be third time lucky for him.

He got absolutely dicked by Lee Cook at QPR, but then there's no shame in that really.
