Personally, it was me who was dragging the missus around the Reijksmuseum. I love a bit of art me. Anne Frank's house is worth seeing too.

Big queues there so get there early if you choose to go.

I went there with my wife and we went to Anne Frank's house, pottered around the city, went on a boat trip thing, then made the most of the nightlife. We really enjoyed it there.

I booked online beforehand and went in a separate entrance, walking straight past those who hadn't.

Football is off the menu. Going with the bird, an art student, so its strictly nodding and pointing and shite paintings sadly.

Tut tut, watching the Dutch go from mellow, relaxed people to manic, raging neatherdals is quite fun.

Check out Boom Chicago a nice place where they do improv comedy show about everything. Good dinner and Drinks menu however i would eat at somewhere in the area which is great.(http://www.boomchicago.nl/)

Amsterdam Dungeon is also another good bet, just off the Damrak (http://www.the-dungeons.nl/amsterdam/en/index.htm)

Food wise you wont need to worry there is so much option around each area.

Also try to aviod taxi's they are very expensive, The trains/trams are the most easiest and cheapest way to travel.
