Pointless signing really we already have three good left backs, he also appears to be a bit of a character having played at so many clubs at a young age, I don't know about his ability but I would leave this guy alone Nige!

We have one very good left-back, one who is supposedly good and full of potential but is only on loan to us, and one who is already 2/3rds retired and will be fully retired at the end of the season.

If Nigel, Shakey and Stevie see something in this kid then we should snap him up and even if he turns out to be crap he is certainly worth taking a look at. Remember, Chris Weale was deemed not good enough for the Bristol City team and he has fitted in very well with us.

The Chris Weale situation is a little different to Blackman, Blackman is 19 and has already played and been rejected by a lot of clubs, I don't think we should sign him.

Dont know about playing right back but appatantly he is quick and able to play left midfield worth a shot imo ( doubt mcgivern would be available for permanant deal and our scouting system must rate him)

I've been away for a few days, and on the news now it says we've signed this fella on the basis that he has Chris Powell as his mentor to help him sort himself out! Also says he can't play for us until January!
