Any farmers on here?

Fields full of corn near me that appears to have gone over and is starting to dry up and die.

Why hasn't it been harvested? Is it going to be used for something other than grain?

Seems a hell of a waste, especially as Russia have decided not to export because of their own shortages.

Most corn grown in the UK is used for silage and isn't harvested until September/October time.

probably more this year, very little rain has failed to swell the grains. another year of subsidies for the 'guardians' of our countryside...
