Ok so last night i attended an event hosted by the Leicestershire and Rutland Criminal Justice Board about careers in Criminal Law (legal ones!) at Leicester Uni. One of the speakers there was the assistant to the chief constable and he was talking about how working in the police was excited and varied etc etc. Anyway he then went onto mention how last weekend as well as policing the streets for diwali, helping out derbyshire police with the power plant protest the Leicestershire Constabulary had to police the Leicester- Derby Match. He then went on to mention that as well as breaking up various fights, during the game it became apparent that someone who was wanted for a "serious offence" was sitting in the directors box, and an arrest had to be made during the game. Has anyone else heard anything about this!?
