He must be gutted.
Yes indeed, Statutory Sick Pay is a bag of shit.He must be gutted.
I say that because not only has he had a bad injury already and was looking to break into the first team this season...i think that goes without saying des :icon_conf:icon_lol::icon_wink

And he's my mate's nephew so I really want him to do well.
Ask him if he has been kicked in the ball sack as well...
To be fair, a fractured ankle is more of an accident type injury presumably and not related to his previous knee injury. But it does raise a question in general. Hopefully he'll get back ASAP.
It sounds like it's a new rite of passage, so we have to assume so. But who did the kicking, is the question. Was it that scoundrel Mattock again?
Maybe he fractured his ankle by kicking someone else in the ball sack too hard?
Best wishes to Ashley on a speedy recovery.
I hope Sappleton makes it to the 1st team squad and plays some part this season.
_____COME-ON LEICESTER_____
His best mate recently had to retire due to the injuries he sustained after his knee injury. He was subsequently released and didn't chase a footy career elsewhere. City gave him injections to play, told him it was ok to play on it and then the surgeon said it needed re-breaking. Came back from it and then just found himself unfit and gaining a catalogue of injures elsewhere. Didn't the likes of Jones and Eadie have the same probs after a knee injury? Wesolowski as well.
