To quote Patches O'Hoolahan, legendary dodgeball coach, "it's like watching a bunch of retards trying to **** a door knob out there"

Matthew Upson really does have a very good footballing brain. His positioning is excellent and he seems to know what a striker is going to do before the striker himself does. Was is also a very handy defender to have. Then there's Morgan.......

Should have had a pen, then Morgan headed over when he should have done better.

I know it's a new set up, but 5 defenders against Villa! ... it's stating the obvious but Konchesky is not a wing back, he's playing wide but those lofted floated crosses go nowhere. Seems a game for Knockaert to come out of the woodwork.

That might be difficult..

Schlupp switch with Konch and knock on the left.

This IS the type of set-up we needed on that long losing run...but not in the 5th round of the cup. NP gets there in the end, just seems it takes him longer than most ... can he make changes at half time?

Knocky isnt in the squad.

What a curious half! That was awful but, we could have been two up. These two teams are WAY below Premier League standard on this showing.
