A pedant might point out that that was the reverse fixture that season. Not me though.

oh yes you are right - sorry.
A home defeat would have been an even worse momentum-killer!

the away game had one of Mahrez’ classic penalties of course, at the time when he decided we didn’t need 3 points as we’d win it by ten points anyway.

Though game. They will score.
1-1.
83rd min equaliser for Jamie Maddison.

Anyway.

Keller, Whitlow, Walsh, Prior, Watts, Grayson, Lennon, Parker, Izzet, Heskey, Claridge.

A game I remember fondly from Boxing Day 1985, City 3 Villa 1.

Andrews, Feeley, O'Neill, Osman, Morgan, Banks, McAllister, Mauchlen, Wilson, Smith, Cunningham

Kevin Poole was in goal for Villa that day.

This game was such a critical part of our title winning season. From 2-0 down (and if I recall Villa would have gone above is if they beat us), to a barnstorming 3-2 win that kept our momentum into the first international break (IIRC)
“I ain’t ever felt this bad ever”

Villa have 2 decent outfield players we have 10. Leicester will control the game & win 0-2

It's not Leicester of old anymore we are in a new era & will win at places we regularly got beat at.
