I thought he was out of contract at Liverpool last summer, so Liverpool had no need to do anything to get rid of him.

I forgot they've already got Craig King on loan as well. He's made 19 starts for them, which I suppose is quite impressive. He's only scored two goals though, but he's a winger as well as a striker, so maybe that makes it ok :icon_wink
