yea i think the cheapest is 30 quid return, but the times are fecked up because the chance of extra time is high (in my opinion) dont really want to drive down there either as a drink would be nice, may have to resort to club transport but if theres one biddy on there knitting a filbert the fox teddy i will shove here knitting needles where the sun doesnt shine.

national express is v cheap £6 return but again working the times is a bitch, the latest bus is 23.30 which may be cutting it close if it goes all the way, but is very far away if the game ends on 90 or were losing 6-0 at half time.
also there are obvious safety hazards with NE

Last train is 23:15 from St Pancras.

15/20 minute walk to the Underground station, if you know where you're going. 5 minute waiting time. 30 minute journey time with a change (different levels) at Earls Court. 5 minute walk from tube to MML platforms at St Pancras. I reckon I would want to leave the ground at no later than 22:10 to make sure of catching the train from StP.

Penalties (if applicable) would not have started by then and I doubt if extra-time would have finished. I therefore conclude that the only people going by train will be those who believe the match will be settled in the 90 minutes.

£6 singles still available for the outward journey if made before 13:30, but it's going to be £20 on the way back.

Return journeys can be booked for as little as £5 on National Express at this moment. The tube takes between 10 and 15 minutes less to get to Victoria than it does to St Pancras (depending whether a change at Earls Court is required, although there is then a slightly longer walk to the coach station. Seems to me that you would need to leave the ground at 22:35 at the very latest to be sure of catching the coach - plenty of time to see 30 minutes of extra-time but possibly not all 10 penalties afterwards.

i didn't go to this game, was in bed with man flu all day yesterday. also it has saved a little money, as people have said money is tight at this time of year. having spent christmas going to leicester (23rd) hull (26th) and southampton (30th) and not having spent money on the wench's christmas prezzie yet i felt it wasn't worth travelling to a pointless cup game which had shite written all over it. wont be able to make the replay due to work commitments either
