oh a on board sound card ,in that case find the maker of the motherboard then the sound card driver for that board ,if that don't work go out and buy a sound card and fit it ,pleases remember to disable the on board sound in the bios or it could conflict

legacy audio drivers
legacy video capture devices
media control devices
unimodem full duplex audio device
video codecs

you could try right-click that one & select update driver

come on joe you have got a degree in computers. surely youve not forgotten all the great things you were taught by leng, dunn, gasieniec, sant, coenen, and amos etc. maybe you should give devereux a ring i reckon he would know what to do.
