Same meeting has now banned the use of the multi-ball system throughout the Football League

I'm sure they were talking about the cost of an overnight stay rather than the transport costs.

Footballers like a good roast; employ female backroom staff and you can slam 6 people per room in a Holiday Inn Express twin room.

That was expected too. Too many teams (like Leicester) cheated to use it to their advantage.
Strange word to use when it's nothing of the sort. A single ball system is open to similar exploitation, more so if anything. Still not cheating though. Gamesmanship at worst.

backwards ruling, but I cant help feeling it was aimed at us as well. However I think it is not on to do at such short notice before the season started as some teams like ourselves will have invested inplayers based on a 7 sub system, arguably we could sue the football league. Not to mention this hinders chances for young upcoming players.

They keep tinkering with the silliest of rules, meanwhile we have a bloody World Cup in the desert, no way of knowing a ball crossing the bloody line and Derby County. There are more things far more serious to work out in our game.

we could end up with quite a few unhappy players this season with 2 left out of even reaching the bench this season...
not so sure this is a good move by the FA/whoever decided on it...

It was a vote by football league clubs wasn't it? In which case we can't really moan - it's democracy in action. Blame all the tinpot league 1 and 2 clubs. And the penniless chumps in our league, like Coventry.

I do not see why the vote could not have been on a division by division basis for both subs and balls.

Personally I do not remember us cheating by giving a ball quicker to our team than the opposition. With one ball it will be held in the crowd if it is going to the opposition.

I believe we've been banned at least once from using multi ball due to mischievous goings on.

yeah so instead of cheating on the balls in the last few minutes of the game teams can now time waste the entire match when they 1-0 up by booting it into the stands. great idea.
