Yeovil Town are pleased to confirm the loan signing of Zoumana Bakayogo on an initial one month deal from Leicester City.

Manager Gary Johnson has moved quick to sign the former Tranmere Rovers defender after he received the news that Liam Davis has been sidelined for up to six weeks with a broken toe.

Ivorian Zoumana joined The Foxes on a two-year contract following a four-year spell with League One side Tranmere Rovers.

Born in Paris in 1986, Bakayogo began his career as a youngster with Paris Saint Germain, before moving to London in 2006 to join Millwall. He spent two and a half years at The Den and made 22 appearances for the south-east London club.

He joined Tranmere in July 2009 and immediately established himself in the first team, making 34 appearances in his debut season. He would go on to play nearly 150 games for Rovers, including 52 in his final season, in which he also weighed in with five goals.

Subbed after 37 mins due to injury.

From the Yeovil OS 'the Leicester man fell to the ground with no one around him and had to be helped from the field by two physios'

Having been to Yeovil and stayed in the same hotel their loan players are put in, I don't blame him for hitting the deck after no challenge and telling them he's injured.

In other words; he froze. Did they turn the floodlights on in the 37th minute?

Really feel for him. I'm sure he was glad of a loan move to get some playing time again, so to pick up a nasty injury like that in his first appearance has got to be devastating.

Good luck to him with his recovery.

Hopefully they won't shine too many bright lights on him if it needs an operation.
That would only be an advantage if they do. He'd keep quite still that way and not move too much while they're cutting in him.
