How much leeway does a player have if a club wants/needs to sell them?

The club needs the money - the agent wanys their fee - but if the club making the bid offers improved 'personal terms' or at least terms no less favourable than current contract - can the player ( contractually) refuse to go?

Of course they can. But that takes a little thought and some principles. These are not abundant qualities in many footballers.

Vestergaard is still here, supposedly refused to go which is absolutely his right to do. I've seen many claim on social media that Barnes didn't want to leave but that's just people trying to put a spin on it....maybe to feel less shit about the position we're in?

He didn't want to go, the poor little mite. All that Saudi blood money has been very difficult for him to accept and he does so under protest. He'll play for Newcastle but he will definitely tut very loudly when they ask him to stone homosexuals to death and execute women, during a preseason tour.

**** him.

I think it's unlikely they'll ask Barnes to execute women.

Zia and Akhtar Abdur Rahman, the leader of ISI, supported the construction of madrassas, Islamic religious schools, along the border to educate young Afghans, with their number in all of Pakistan increasing from 900 in 1971 to about 33,000 by 1988.[9][12] Many of these had been financed by patrons from Saudi Arabia and other Arab states of the Persian Gulf.[12] Saudi religious ideology was introduced in these institutions.[2] Many senior leaders of the Afghanistan Taliban had attended the Darul Uloom Haqqania seminary in Akora Khattak in Pakistan, and it supported the Taliban.[13][14] The seminary was run by Maulana Sami-ul-Haq of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, who is often referred to as the "Father of the Taliban".[13][15] It blended Islamist politics with the teachings of the conservative Deobandi movement.[2]

Yes.

He might also give a disappointing frown at your suggestion of executing Colin Pitchfork by burning him alive.
He might. But then I'd have to point him to the concept of comparison and degrees as I have with others.
