I'd try to appease Atalanta too if it was me leaving. Probably have to deal with the Argonauts otherwise.

I don't see anything wrong with what he said. It's nice to see a player have a genuine commitment to a club. You'd like to think someone like Andy King would say something similar if he were to leave us. It's possible to be sad to leave and be happy about his next opportunity at the same time.

I am so confused by this apparent impending signing. Why we are paying what appears to be an inflated fee for a centre back who clearly from his comments would rather stay in Italy and has made no positive comments about coming to us. With Morgan, Huth, Moore, Fuchs, Wasi and Chilwell available to play in these positions what am I missing here ?>

I can't tell if you're quoting that source as a joke, or a genuine reference? I hope that it's the former.

A player's value to a team can't be measured in metrics. If he's been identified as the missing piece of our team, with the attributes that we don't have, then his price is such.

Otherwise we've just lost £2.5m on Kante in a matter of hours...
