Best album of the year so far

kins of leon is on my shopping list next - have read in the reviews that they have gone more "mainstream" with their sound - is this true?

no I'd say it's the other way - rougher sounding and some long 'epics' to contend with not really anything really catchy like their first two

Nowhere near as good. IMO sounds feck all like them anyway. But what do I know...... :icon_wink

I agree it's not as good, it just reminds me of them, mainly for the bass-line, kinda reminds me of "In Bloom"

I've got the Maximo Park one,its ok.Out of the most recent ones I've bought Fields-Everything Last Winter is the best thing I've heard but I wouldn't say it was outstanding.After hearing all the tracks I fully expect the new Puressence album to be my favourite of the year

Fans, Knocked Up, Black Thumbnail, Ragoo, Camero are all catchy as hell. Even songs like Charmer and McFearless are growers, in fact the whole album is chock full of quality tunes IMO.
