I really enjoyed the chapter about betting.Mine's pretty good - 'Vote Joe_Fox you tossers'. Look out for it.
The best book on football I have read is "Soccernomics" by Simon Kuper. It s subtitle is "Why England Loses" but it is about much more e.g. should a club spend money on higher wages or higher transfer fees, what is the best age to buy a player etc.
Desmond Morris book "The Football Tribe" is old but it is still relevant.
Perhaps the most important book on football was "The Football Revolution" by Willy Meisl which charted the rise of football around the world at the expense of Britain. It came out in 1953. The wiser of you will have spotted that it was soon followed by Hungary beating England 6-3 at Wembley and 7-1 in Budapest. The book influenced people like Matt Busby, Stan Cullis, Alf Ramsey and Ron Greenwood to emphasize tactics rather than the mindless running that used to comprise training.
.
There's not one by Adam Black by any chance or by his daughter about his boots and some wrong info given by John Hutchinson about finding them.
Same here. I wondered how many more on here saw her status before it was removed.I was disappointed his daughter's status was removed, I was waiting for the next update to understand what the feck she was going on about.
I asked her if she had looked behind the sofa.Same here. I wondered how many more on here saw her status before it was removed.
