do you mean the Richard Cresswell or his Twin brother who appears to be a better footballer than him knocking them in for preston?

A bit unfair on Ormondroyd there, he played quite a few games on the left wing, and he was a decent player in that position.

We got Gee an dormondroyd in a swap deal for someone, but who?
Paul Kitson
What you meant was we bought Phil Gee and got Sticks thrown in for nothing

Could have been worse i suppose.. just give me an hour to think of a reason why it could have been worse.....  :?:

Here's a thought, would you have preferred to get Akinbiyi as a free in place of Ormondroyd, and then paid £5million for Ormondroyd?

I would have.

Sticks was good for us for 3 seasons IMO. Never as good for us as he was for Derby, but did a good job.

People just forget and go on the lazy stereotype of him being a donkey.

Definately big Ian... You could always rely on Sticks to get a goal for us in at least one leg off the play-off smi finals...

lets never forget what sticks really did for us, he scored without fail in just about all the play off semis and gave us the opportunity to have a beery day out or 3 at wembley. yes he was a gangly ugly git, with the athletic prowess of a giraffe, but my word that left knee of his was a god given gift.incidentally , if sticks and smudger smith stood back to back would it make a pick axe?..phill gee on the other hand was a grafter, he spooned more shots over the north stand than he got on target and his haircut was better seen on a schoolkid in biker grove, but for commitment , effort and pure gusto he was priceless, especially the brace he scored against the sheep just after he left them. now akinbadbuy, on the other hand was , over rated over paid and over purchaced, yes he started ok , but then he was getting a hell of alot of service from a confident midfield who hadnt at that time been buggered about with by PT. but when their confidence hit the rocks a bit , we could see akinbiyi in his true colours. so for me sticks gets my vote especially for his comedy value :D
