2 of my favourite bands of all-time, bet that would've been a great gig. Btw, have you heard the rumours that Pavement miught be reforming??
I think the rumour has come about as people can vote what acts they want to see at one of next years All Tomorrows Parties weekenders and Pavement is high on the list. This is more wishful thinking than fact as from what I've heard Malkmus is less than keen, but stranger things have happened, never thought I'd ever see the Velvet Underground play for instance.
I'd love to see the VU, Pavement and/or Sonic Youth live. Still haven#t had the chance to see any of them though. i've only seen 4 or 5 acts play their intruments live. The best one I saw were The Flmaing Lips
With the passing of Sterling I doubt they'll be another VU get together, however John Cale is doing a tour in Jan and always includes a few VU numbers:

I seen Dog's D'amour a few years ago at Rock City. It wasn't a gig, they were just there on a Friday night, Tyla was pissed as a **** then, but they did a small acoustic set on the top balcony for a bit of funBurning Tree supporting Dogs D'Amour
Under Neath What supporting Dogs D'Amour
Both a long long time ago
Both were great, and both times the Dogs were shite. Tyla even fell off the stage 2nd time, he was so drunk
1971/2 went to see Procul Harem who were so shite (possibly worst band I've ever seen) that at the end they went off to cries for an encore from the support band, Stackridge, who were great.
Whiter Shade of Pale being one of my all time fave songs.
It's a quality song for leaning on birds at the end of a "disco" and slobbering on their collar. They love it they do
Whiter Shade of Pale being one of my all time fave songs.
