I suppose the mildly ironic thing is that Peter Taylor tried to get Sammy Lee in as his assistant when he was here. Sammy, not being quiet as daft as he looks, told him thanks but no thanks.

Mate in work who supports D***y will be a bit gutted as he thinks it is between Newell and Davies for their job, as they have both been interviewed. Another club for Kamara to have a go at.

i'm pleased for charlton that Taylor is out of the running. i wouldn't wish that fate on anyone.

I would choose Davies over Newell. Preston have more to lose if their manager goes than Luton.
