The OS is reporting over 1000 sold for this game already and there is still those who will get their tickets at the end of the week when they get paid. Should get a reasonable following even thouhh it's on the telly.

Puts Derby's disgraceful away support to shame then really.

This has draw written all over it, and I'll be more than happy with that. Maybe we could nick a winner, but draw your away games and win your home ones....

He will change the team and we probably won't get a result, which will make him look like a bit of a tit really.

Certainly no one deserves to be dropped after the Derby game. However, I would not be surprised to see Abe rested. He has played very well recently but long flights are not good preparation for the game.

I expect Beckford to play as Sven has been wanting to use the partnership with Nugent. This may be no bad thing as Birmingham will have studied the video of the Derby game and used it to prepare. I am surprised that there seems to be an anti-Beckford feeling. He may or may not be a good signing but it seems a little early to rush to judgement.

Whether Vassell plays along side Beckford and Nugent may well depend on how Sven expects Birmingham to play. If he is on the bench I would like it be instead of Dyer alongside Howard and Schlupp as a Plan B.

My hunch is that Sven expected St Ledger and Mills to be his first choice centrebacks and this might have been SSLs impression as well. Sven certainly seemed to be gently critical of Sol Bamba "He sometimes thinks he is Beckenbauer and he isn't". Well so far Bamba has been IMO our best defender. If St Ledger is going to be a first choice centre back he is going to have to play very well indeed.

Lloyd Dyer has to at least be on the bench still. If he comes on and scores and then gets dropped out the whole squad in the next game that would just be totally unfair.

Yuki didn't play last night, but it's a big ask to play him after that journey

So possibly play Johnson in his place - no other change required

Not feckin' Wellens, that's for sure

Not really.

He scored a pretty shit goal and didn't do much else, although granted he was only on for 15 minutes. If we have better options, which we probably will, they should be on the bench.

Does anyone know of a stream for this game?
(Asked on behalf of my dad in the Seychelles....)
Cheers

This seasons reduction from 7 to 5 subs, is starting to bite for some players. Naming the match day 16 almost trickier than the starting 11. Maybe time to consider dropping Weale to make some room.

After the Derby performance & assuming an unchanged team - who are Subs for Saturday?

Schlupp
Wellens
Beckford
Ball
SSL

no Gally, Dyer, Ball, Johnson, Pants

Weale will be one of them. Doubt Ball or SSL will be. Pantsil will be.

I hope Sven doesn't drop the Ball or his Pants...... i'll get me coat

I would not drop Weale from the subs bench. Goalkeeper is too specialist a position and although Weale is not an ideal replacement for Kasper he is going to be a lot better in goal than any other sub.

The only reason we are finding substitutions difficult is because of having three attackers on the bench - Sven's Plan B. It worked superbly against Derby and it may be worth persisting with even if it limits us to one defensive cover.

Neither of them have been playing the field much in recent times, so they cannot be dropped, only inserted back into the grassy pitch, or something.

Gally just tweeted that he thinks Sunday will be a bit early for him to return, he needs more training
