I think I may have found where you went wrong.

I know. Was hoping to just read more City "content" but honestly I'd rather not now.

One or two of them have their heads screwed on but the majority appear to think 0-0 away from home on a cow patch against a difficult team with a new manager is somehow rock bottom.

I think this was a good point.

I would have said the same seeing the pitch at 3 pm. It was only ever going to some superb skill or a set piece which got the goal. We happened to **** up the best opportunity. Wood also missed from six yards. Their nearest shots were free kicks. Other than that the game was frankly uneventful.

For the first time in a while, Pearson got shape and personnel spot on. King was a workhorse and Marshall looked far more comfortable centrally. We were far hard to get past than recently.

Might seem sour grapes but that's the third occasion we've played on a woeful pitch at Blackpool. Every team who plays there before the Winter is at an advantage and its repeated occasions that its been in that condition. About time the League reacted to it.

You forgot the decent strike by Kane, good save by theur keeper.

Uneventfull boring game on a dreadfull pitch, i think we were brought down ththeir level, the defence looked solid midfield competative but not creative enough strikers squanderered what few chances we had
Ratings:
Kasper 7 - a couple of good saves a few dodgy kicks but overall a confidend display
RDL 7 - defensively pretty sound, tried to get forward but when he did it came to nothing, a solid display against a tricky winger
Morgan - 9 Superb captains performance, headed/kicked/tackled everything that came his way even tried to venture forward at times
Keane -6 fairly composed apart from a few miskicks (i expected SSL to play today following Keanes recent form)

Konch -6 i was a tad worried pre game as he hasnt been at his best recently and i thought Ince might trouble him, but Konch came through the game ok and hopefully a sign he is getting back to his best btw i wish hed take some inswinging corners

Kane -6 apart from a superb first half volley he didnt look too threatening, he worked hard enough but didnt look a goal threat
King -6 worked hard enough, put his boot in at times and tracked back well but wasnt creative.
Drinkwater - 6 as King, but wasnt helped by the playing surface
Marshall - 5 involved a lot early on but was again out of sorts

Nuge - 5 rightly taken off, his spark/touch/ enthusiasm has deserted him, we need him to get back on form
Wood - 6 looked our main goal threat, dissapointing penalty and even worse missed chance later on, im not too concerned, the goals will come
Subs
Dyer 6 little impact didnt see much of the ball

Knocky 6 did his best to get on the ball and was direct, im sure we would have created more if he had started
Vardy 6 no impact

The fans were very vocal and supportive in a sub-standard possibly unsafe stadium/away stand

All in all it was probably a fair result, but a game we would have won at a canter 4 weeks ago

For the Blackpool/ NW Foxes it was important not to lose this one yet im still a bit downbeat in what could easily have been 3 welcome points

Congratulations DPJ, about your first post out of 3000 odd that made some sense. :038:

Never a bad result - and one which I expected.

The pitch at Blackpool is infamous and doesn't suit a side like Leicester - strangely enough it doesn't suit a side like Blackpool either -also a 'tippy tappy' side.

Tuesday night is very important and I don't think that is an easy fixture either. Blackburn are under performers and have enough strength to get a result unless we return to something like top form.

Still think the play offs are now a Cardiff/Watford scenario - but we need to climb and regain as much confidence as possible for hopefully the play offfs.

I meant of course the auto places are Cardiff/ Watford scenario - sorry for silly error.

A few weeks ago it was us/Cardiff, then Hull/ Cardiff now Watford/Cardiff.

We have still have 14 games to play, including Watford, so who is to say who will be the top 2?

A bit more upbeat from the HTB household :)

Absolutely not - if you have far too much time on your hands to read my past posts, I have consistently predicted Cardiff who are clearly the best team in the division (which incidentally doesn't mean that they will therefore win every game) and one other team will be auomatically promoted. Some very few weeks ago I thought we had as good a chance as any to take second spot. But as per usual we have stuffed that up. Never thought Hull would be automatically promoted and this isn't because we have the highly irritating troll lurking - its because they aren't good enough. But I do fancy Watford as it has emerged that they have pulled a right clever stroke on loans.

I agree with this. I wouldn't be surprised if something was done about this next season, but it's a reet clever little loophole that Zola and the family that own about 4 clubs have found.
