Blu-ray media player

Having just sold my PS3 I now need a Blu-Ray media player for my PC. I have a Blu-ray drive just not the software to play it.

So if you know of any, preferably free / cheap, your help would be most appreciated.

I have a version of vlc, but it wont play the disc, not a recognised format!

Do you mean that you need drivers for the BluRay player? If it's installed as a device, VLC, or any media player, should be able to display whatever is playing on it.

To be honest, I am not overly good with computer software etc so it maybe that the drivers need updating. I know the DVD drive can read the disc ie, it shows up, you can access the contents and can rip the BluRay to burn a copy, but when it comes to playing all the media players say the same thing, that the format is incorrect.

I will give it a go and see what happens.
