thank you for this vital information,i shall get my cup of soups and my trifle mix and head down there now and give the mighty craig the back up he deserves,
come on lets have a gathering and support our leader as he is only two world class strikers and a goalkeeper who can catch and kick short of a very average fizzy football team..

Did they say a time or just that it's tonight?

Hopefully we'll hear something later today, but I'm guessing it will more likely be tomorrow..

I think they said "this evening" to be totally accurate. So I expect the OS will be updated sometime around Saturday.:icon_wink

I doubt we'll hear much about it, the board won't exactly be advertising how cash they are going to spend. It will be the usual non-commital words

But we should at least know whether Levein is being backed or not ;) He could be fired after this meeting, so I'm sure we'll hear something.
I hope Levein does go today, but if he doesn't then the board need to properly back him and give him the cash he needs, because our squad clearly does need strengthening.

I expect Williams to be off in the next day or so.

Hopefully he might be joined by one or two others, there's still rumours circulating that Dion will be off to KovSkum.

Was told today that Dion was on his way to lincoln city as player manager with mr wise there to.

Why employ Dion?!?! They've Played 2 less games than us with 5 more points, give the existing manager some more money!!

My opinion of how the Board meeting will go, I think Craig will be asked whether he believes ha can keep City up, and how he proposes to do this and I think his answer will be to freshen the squad up considerably and that a number of the players he inherited from MA will be moved on namely Wilcox, Dublin and Williams whilst Tiatto may leave through mutual consent.

I think Levein will point to the fact that these players have not really supported him and be painted as bad apples. I think then he will provide a list to the board containing 5 or 6 players to come in namely, a centre half, left back, central midfielder, right midfielder and at least 1 if not 2 strikers. From this response I think the board will come out and back the manager, but he may only be given minimal funds with the rest generated from outgoings, so his dealings may be self financed, and I think he will be given the rest of the season to show a significant improvement and prove he is the man to take the club forward beyond May 2006.

He has been put on "leave", seems a similar scenario to how Blackpool ended up sacking Colin Hendry.

Have I missed something with rumours about Dublin going? He seems to be the only one organising and firing up anyone on the pitch. Was outstanding against Norwich. If he has fallen out with everyone, why does CL play him and make him captain?

There is an extra £1m coming in to the club as long as Wigan stay up, which seems likely. Maybe the board will give Levein some of that.
