FT
Good battling performance by leicester, 2 scrappy pieces of defending cost us the game, but this is against 6th placed premiership team, great goal by williams, dublin & paddy soo close late on. I think we can come away from this with our heads held high, and look forward to the match against leeds.

I've just seen the goals on SkySports news. Seemed like the first one was a complete fluke - jammy Mexican. Great goals by Willaims, maybe he can keep that kind of form up for the run-of-the-mill league games. I like the team Craig picked. Overall i'm really happy about tonight - well, as happy as you can be with any defeat- over the course of 90 minutes we drew 0-0 with a top six premiership side, that's not too bad at all. Now let's get Ian Hume and Ryan Smith back for Leeds and let's show those Yorkshire twats what we're made off...

Ken Bates you're a cretin...

BLUUUUUUUUUUUUEEE AAAAAAAARRRRMMMMYYY...

Didn't do much right apart from the goal, I'm sure he thought we were playing in white, the number of times he passed to their players.

But a lot of the time there wasn't many passing options on, wit just MdV up front, he was well marked and looked out of his depth, we looked better with two up front.

Totally disagree !! MDV was superb, handled the "premiership" defence with ease won 90% of the balls played up to him, lacked support from the attacking midfielders, Williams looked rusty early on but got better as the match progressed, it was Hughes that really looked poor no contribution whatsoever !!!

I thought MdV's control let him down too often, often by 'winning' a ball played up to him all that happened was that it went straight to their defender, with better control he'd have been able to hang on to it and bring our midfielders into the game, but he didn't do that. We never looked like having any kind of threat while he was up there by himself. He improved when Dublin moved up front.

I agree, I thought MDV did really well, unfortunately he seemed to win most of balls played to him in the air, but there was no one there to flick them onto. Williams was a different player in the second half, far too many poor passes in the first half. I think when Speed went off they were a poorer team and it allowed Williams to impose himself more on the game. Joey ran his socks off and was always one of the first players to give the player on the ball an option. Overall I was very impressed, only four players from the team that started on Saturday and they all made a good account of themselves. Just wish that header in the closing minute from Dublin has gone in!

Well worth a tenner!

the norm I'm afraid

Think i might call it a night now

Call it a night just because we've gone 2-down?

Like the part-timers that staged the walk-out at the Reebok at the same time!!!

Bah!!

What was it with Williams? He could see our players - they were the ones in yellow. But he never seemed to see the ones in white that were standing between himslef and the ones in yellow. I lost count of the number of his passes which were so easily intercepted.

I am glad Williams scored that goal as it would have been possible we might have been better off with 10 men before that. Woeful display saved by a great goal (see what happens when people SHOOT!)

totally agree. We would also have been better if a few more would have pulled the trigger a bit sooner rather than messing around. Also agree with the above about willimas not being able to see anyone in white. I think he has selective colour blindness (first one to say white is not a colour wins a absolutely nothing).

Hammill was the let down of the night for me, espcially first half, didnt seem to be in the game, was always gonna be difficult for him with lack of match practice and then having to play against a premiership line up.

Overall, worse things happen and at least we didnt show ourselves up and we kept battling till the end.

williams was atrocious for most of the night. his passing is shocking, yet his shooting can be lethal. as well as the goal, he made jusi pull off a great save as well, which looked like an awkward ball to strike
