Of these there's only nos one, two and five I'd really want with six and seven as a probably-available gamble. A lot of fans rate Strachan and might be right but people like Gregory, Bassett, Hoddle, Francis, Cork, Peter Taylor....eeuugh. Just writing the names makes me cringe.

With micky resigning we could use the money to bring in Mike Newell. Even a skint leicester as got to be more attractive than Luton.

I no nothing about Luton apart from the fact we will probaly playing them next year. How far can they go?. At best i think they could get to where we are now .I also think he's a more realistic choice than others mentioned.

Any manager that comes in ,is a gamble. Most of us were happy to have Micky Adams 2 yrs ago,but it all went sour.I remember being excited by David Pleats arrival but he was a failure.So no guarantees whoever takes over.I just don't see us getting a big name,and feel that Mike Newell would see us as a step up.
