Foxes knock back bid

Leicester City have rejected a transfer bid from Boston United for young goalkeeper Conrad Logan.
The 20-year-old had two spells on loan with the Pilgrims last season.

United manager Steve Evans said: "He's young and highly rated at Leicester.
"We gave him the chance to come almost from obscurity when we gave him his Football League debut at Lincoln and he was fantastic for us. "Since then, we tried to convince Leicester to let him go. "They wouldn't let that happen and, besides, it could be better for his career if he stays there.
Logan signed a one-year contract towards the end of last season that will keep him at the Walkers Stadium until at least next summer.

But hopefully there may be a vacancy for him here..

could bring a bit of money in if they had let him go :102:
Not a lot, I don't think Boston are exactly flush. I think he could have a future with us - my boss saw him play for the Ressies at Arsenal early last season and thought he was outstanding.

Durham thinks he's shite...mind he thinks O'Grady should be in the England Squad:icon_roll

He seems to get he basics wrong too often for me. He is a good shot stopper but weve got 2 of those already.

As for O'Grady :098:

It worries me slightly that there are no rumours regarding a new keeper, it wouldnt be disasterous but i would prefer a new keeper.

We all know we need a left back and midfielder, hence the Harding, Lunt rumours, not sure about McAuley(unless someones leaving).

Can't happen unless we can transfer one out we already have got, four would a bit OTT and would use up part of our wages budget that could be more usefully used elsewhere. Our two main goalies have a fair time to go before their contracts expire, so we can't out them easily.

Don't let him go. I'd love it if he got a chance. he was a fantastic keeper at school.

Conrad Logan is a brilliant keeper. We are lucky enough to have a keeper of his standards as 3rd choice.

Logan is not too good IMO............

and as for O'Grady.......bag of wank,,

Logan is an interesting one, and definitely an example (as with O'Grady) of a loan spell working wonders. I saw highlights of reserve games from a year ago, and he looked absolutely shocking! But since his loan, he's looked like a proper keeper (from the highlights, at least) and not like the chubby schoolkid he used to look like.
He could make it after all... :038:

I agree, starting at the bottom and working up has got to be better for his career than warming the reserves spot (at best) for us week in week out IMO.

They could throw O'Grady in too as a special offer kind of thing, buy one get one free.

I think he signed a year extension to see what happens. If he can make a breakthrough then so be it. If not, then he can go in a year's time. Good decision by Logan, on his behalf.

Is this irony? I was fecking quality at school, unfortunately if I was playing for the City now it's fair to say we'd be in a whole world of trouble...
