Coaching the players into not making the same mistakes?

Basic organisation?

Correct team selection and substitutes?

I agree with you to some extent, and it’s generally said most managers don’t actually make a whole lot of difference. But surely there are some basics he’s being paid to do with whatever coaching badges he’s got, even with the hand he’s been dealt.

Otherwise we might as well have a city fan/pop dream team as the management team.
Nah. We'd be too busy necking if we were together.

When we played football at high school we were coached to look over your shoulder to be aware of who was around you, we got fined 20p each time an opposing player received the ball when you wasn't aware they was there, I have no idea what is being coached at the £100 million training ground but Adama basically walked the ball in as Kristiansen was oblivious he was there and gave him the freedom of the pitch

RVN can coach the hell out of the players but when you have players that have no concept of tactics or awareness around them then it's impossible to get a good performance from them.

Kristiansen is one of many that aren't good enough and never will be, he needs to be moved on to any club that we can con into taking him.

I would do two things which would seem like madness not too long ago.

1) Vardy is our best striker. But you can't play him 3 times in a week and expect him to be effective at 38.
Daka in for Vardy.

2) Put a defensive midfielder in. Winks and Soumare are not aggressive enough, don't work hard enough and don't follow there men. The only option we have really is Choudhury and although he is shit. He would offer some fight and aggression.
Put Choudhury in as a defensive midfielder.

Nervous perhaps, but terrible.

I was at first glad it wasn’t Sweetman-Kirk.
I loathe Sweetman-Kirk! It's her tone of voice, it reminds me of Alan Hansen. All kind of know-it-all and 'I am right'. Winds me up something chronic.

I think Marc was nervous and gabbled, commentator couldn't get a word in! He'll calm down... if he gets another chance.

On a personal positive side I never renewed my season ticket so I don't have to watch this utter garbage and by the way things are going it might be a long time before I would want to. (Sorry for those poor souls that have to watch this shite)
We only renewed ours on the back of the optimism generated by Enzo Maresca. If we'd known he'd move on a few days after the deadline to be replaced by Cooper we wouldn't have bothered.

Well what's the point in sacking a manager if you don't expect the next one to change things? As it happens, the appointment didn't look a great one from the start so my expectations were pretty low.

Had we hired a proper manager then we would have changed things but instead, we jumped from a clown to a duffer.

Hope. That’s what it comes down to. Hope that it changes.

Cooper needed to go. But we needed a proper replacement.

I didn't renew ours because of my Dad passing away, maybe he knew what was coming and also knew I would renew both our season tickets so decided death was a better option.

I get what he’s trying to do with the subs. With the so-called creativity of BEK
Well I can say with absolute certainty that yesterday his substitutions were unfathomable. EK was our only creative player and was trying (and to a certain extent) succeeding in creating some decent passages of play. He was by far our best player.

He should therefore have picked almost anyone else on the pitch h to substitute, he SHOULD NOT have subbed EK.
The trouble is we don’t create enough when EK and Winks start. Against Palace when he changed it to a 4-4-2 with two wingers it did have an impact (albeit short-lived!) so I get why he makes those changes. People have been quick to criticise when managers don’t make changes so it seems they can’t win either way. The bottom line is that we are well below the standard of an average PL team who can pass to each other and do basic defending while looking dangerous in attack.

A few years ago MotoGP changed their co-commentator/interviewer to an ex rider, he was dreadful for the first half a dozen events. He slowly grew into the role and last season was his last as he is moving into the actual race organisation, the consensus amongst most fans is that he is going to be great loss to the broadcast.

Might be the same for Albrighton, I hope so as he wasn't that great yeaterday.

Piper used to be quite poor. He’s done brilliantly and is a voice I seek out now.

Absolutely. It's criminal he's on RL when you hear some of the appalling co-comms on TV. Some of the conference league stuff in particular was unlistenable.

Just watched the highlights on Sky

The ****ing defending for those goals. Holy shit, what a complete shower

Kristiansen and Vestergard absolute filth for both of them. Mavididi missing in action for the second (although our whole shape was wrong - Kristiansen should have been covering Traore)

Both goals are an abomination

I think Mavididi and Vestergaard were at fault for the second. Kristiansen was forced to cover in the goal area really which meant Mavididi should have got back to cover the guy who never ever scores goals.
our entire midfield just gave up at the start of their second it was abysmal.

Who was it? As a matter of interest.

I used to follow BSB, WSB and MotoGP back in the early 2000s. Coming back on a flight back from Barcelona once, I sat next to Chris Walker. It was during his (unsuccessful) MotoGP year. I didn't let on that I knew who he was, and left him in peace. Worst thing was, I then couldn't read my bike mag either!

Back to Marc; yes, he gabbled. He was obviously brought on for his Leicester insights (which were kinda run of the mill in truth but maybe of interest to some/many) but.sadly he didn't know when to stop. So, yes, nerves. I hope he gets another go and settles into it.
