You can argue re the VAR for the penalty. I still think that was a 50/50 call. However, that was always going to be disallowed for offside, we've seen several this season already - all disallowed.

Exactly. As soon as he is in an offside position anywhere in front of the keeper, that was going to be given offside. The precedent has been set.
