And the whole world choruses, "What goes around, comes around".

And I think we will always have this kind of situation whilst MPs and Governments are more interested in their own survival rather than the 'greater good'.

entirely Labour's fault...rode the wave in the good times and let banks do what they liked

oh and the FSA...what the f_ck do they do exactly?

I thought the 50% tax was going to kick in at £100k? Am sure I read that on the skynews website...an outrageous amount of tax to pay

The Personal Allowance starts to decrease when you earn over £100k, effectively increasing tax.

Wherever did you get that idea from? It's nonsense.

And this is the first time that any government have enjoyed a relatively successful period but then left a mess for their successors to sort out? Open your eyes - they all do it.

They encourage you to cut down on saturated fats and tell Burger King that they should put calorie information on their menus.

Any more questions?

Additional higher rate of Income Tax from 2010
Today's Budget also announced that from April 2010 a new rate of Income Tax of 50 per cent will apply to income over £150,000. Also, the Income Tax Personal Allowance will be reduced for those with incomes over £100,000, tapering down to zero.

These changes are to replace the proposed 45 per cent Income Tax rate and the two-stage taper of the personal allowance announced in last November's Pre-Budget Report.

A more complicated system of income taxation is to be introduced for individuals with total income above £100,000. This includes all income, grossed up where interest and dividends are concerned. The basic personal allowance for those affected will be reduced by £1 for every £2 of total excess income over £100,000 until the allowance is cut by one-half.

If total income is above £140,000 the basic personal allowance will be reduced in the same way above this limit until the allowance is nil.

you open a random box and win money you don't deserve or have put any effort into earning.

You also have to be a total ****ing weirdo who does not mind touching or interacting with other ****ing weirdos you have never met before.

Has anyone off the forum ever been on?
