If the next striker we bring in scores goals he'll be worshipped, purely because of the drought we have had to put up with so far.

I think CL has targets, but they are all for next Summer. He is trying to hang on this season. I hope the strategy works. :D  ;-)

Thats all good Steven, but it wouldn't hurt to try to get someone on loan until the end of the season. That way Levein would still have the wages to use in the summer.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. It should be fairly obvious to him that if you don't score goals you don't win games. It should be equally clear that a striker with only 6 goals all season isn't going to break into double figures before the seasons end.

I should think that the problems we have at the moment are very clear to CL, and yes he could go out a geta striker, but what would he have to spend? 50k maybe even 100k if the club stuck its neck out. but what kind of player would we get for that? would he be any better than we already have? somehow I doubt panic buying would achieve anything.

CL has two options, sign a cheaper player today or wait a week and see if we get through to the next round of the FA cup, which will give him the more money to spend and the second option which would be to sign a much better player.

Remember he is building for the long term, not the short term

hmm, another point towards safety. how many minutes of football without a Leicester goal now?

SamJ

275 minutes.

But on the flip side, We've not conceded a goal in 302 minutes - that's pretty good going really. Just hope it continues.

Did forest not score on saturday, then ?

I bid you all good night - no one can come back from something like this, no-one, not even me.

I have also read that Connolly did not score in 20 games for West Ham after Boxing Day 2003. If this is true (not checked it) it would mean that Connolly has scored 6 goals in 56 or so games. Not a record any striker would be proud of.

As far getting someone on loan, I think CL has made a mistake here and I hope for all our sakes it does not go tits up. :-( :? :? :?

Schoolboy error, JF, and completely unacceptable as you say

Chin up Joe! 1 goal in 302 minutes isn't bad either!

Gonna break that 1000 mark today, I can feel it! :-D

Lose or draw and we stay where we are, win and we can go up to 15th.

Of course after other teams have played in the league this weekend and we haven't, a draw tonight could see us at 20th, and a loss could see us at 21st.

Saturday's games

Plymouth V Brighton
Coventy V Cardiff

Therefore Leicester could drop 2 places to 20. Cov have a -14 GD so they will be below us even if they win!!!

The come back kid is back.

Sorry about that error - I'm sure you can forgive me forgetting the Forest goal - after all, it was basically Tiatto's goal anyway.

Also, remember that we have still only lost 3 times this year - that's not bad - it's just winning that seems the elusive part of our game - we are due a win and I'd rather win on Saturday against Blackburn than scrape a win against Burnley.

All good things come to those who wait - unless you are waiting for a bus to Eyres Monsell of course in which the phrase "don't get on that bus" comes into effect.

Sorry, Joe, but it's just not that easy to forgive and forget

You've hurt our feelings, and we are just not prepared to pretend it never happened

Feck it, i'm not usually the sort to jump on the bandwagon...usually I'm falling off the wagon, but Joe...

Ah bollocks to you lot - we all make mistakes, it just shows that we are human. If you want to have a go at anyone then have a go at webbo - he had a pretty awful night last night reffing the chelski match - passed his best IMO.

That's right deflect away from yourself with some feeble joke aimed at another poster

It's just not good enough. You've gone too far this time

How could I ever forget that absolute farce of a saga.

This is ten times worse, and you know it

it's an outrage that you are still allowed to post at all
