Looking at a Burnley forum, there was a lot of chat about sticking it to Pearson for something he said/did earlier in the season. Feelings seemed to be running high, but I can't remember an incident like that. Anyone know what that's about?

In the post match interview following our 2-2 draw, NP claimed that City were a superior club to Burnley in every way. If an opposing manager had said that about us, I imagine most of us would have taken it badly.

My guess is that he was both seriously pissed off with conceding the late equaliser and he has previous with the Burnley Chief Executive (who presided over NPs departure from us a few years back) Lee Hoos.

OK, thanks. I can see why they're a tad upset, as you say, we'd react the same way.

Got a soft spot for Burnley, been there and to Turf Moor many times (got family there). Great local support in an area where there are so many big clubs the locals could follow for the glory. That said, with family pride at stake along with everything else, I'm desperate for a result here. They will be as up for it as us and this will be the toughest game of the run-in IMO. 1 - 1 I think, but maybe we can just nick a win with another late, late goal.

We should have too much for them IMO. The only worry is the amount of chances we are squandering, we should have beaten Swansea more comfortably, get the feeling it will all click and someone will be on the end of a kicking, against Burnley would be nice. As I stated on a previous thread there is so much at stake, Villa Newcastle et al are not safe. The baggies have just done enough, lucky for Pulis as there run in, is horrendous!

Good to see NP sticking with a team now, Cambiasso will be critical next week, Burnley will attempt to over run us in the middle. away win, I think we could achieve 38 points. But then we like to make it difficult for ourselves, bet Stuart Pearce is feeling a right dick head for his comments on Sky the other week!!!!

I think Burnley will shut up shop for this one...a dour 0-0.

Hull and Sunderland will almost certainly lose. QPR might beat West Ham. We just need to not lose; a win would be great but a draw wouldn't be awful.

I think 1-1.

Stick it to them.. another huge 3 points to be had.

The Barnes suspension is good news, as he'd have been itching to "leave one" on Cambiasso.

We're in the silly season now.

Is that the same silly season that we were in when you said the maximum points haul we could ever hope to muster would be 27, and everyone was an utter feckwit who thought otherwise ?

Or are we in a different one now ?

Hull and Sunderland are playing like utter shite and sinking like stones. To predict two losses is perfectly rational
