Chelski are away to Newcastle, Man Utd are away to the scousers hopefully they lose and we extend the gap by another 3 points, tbh I am just hoping to see some grit and determination and we grind out the victory.

Lets be realistic.

These have been dog shit awful for 6 weeks. Every bit as poor as the Hammers & Toon.

If we don't win there should be serious questions to answer.

If you're a genuine top 4 side you piss all over toolshed dross like this. It's that simple.

At least the weather forecast is nice and I can have a lovely ale whilst sitting on the beautiful boulevards of Burnley in January.

It will be like a sojourn through southern France

Oh you simply must try the selection of local gravies, they’re to die for.

Was relatively tropical t'other day. Hopefully the forecast is correct and it's not a repeat of that game (new year's day i think) where it kicked off despite the pitch being waterlogged.

Don't care.

My linen suit is quick drying.

Wow. Just reading that thread. Loads of names I'd forgotten about. Posters and players.
Leigh, Higlandfox, drummindefender, webmaster, where are any of them now?....

For some reason, I always think of Burnley as a difficult match for us. As though we don't tend to do well against them.

The actual results between us tell a different story though. Our last 16 league meetings show W10 D4 L2.

Burnley are in terrible form too. They've lost 7 of their last 9 in the league. The last time that they conceded a goal in a league match and won was in early April!!

They've lost 15 of their last 25 Premier League games. The last time they won against a side in the top half was in March last year.

As long as we turn up, we win this.

In the 60's they were formidable. Jimmy McIlroy and Adam Blacklaw are players I specifically remember. We hardly ever beat them home or away. Hard as nails they were.
