Is he? It's very hard to work out.

Most of the time it looks like a back 3 with Justin right and Doyle left. Hamza is dropping into the defence a lot but seems to be slotting in at left centre back when he does, with Doyle staying left back.

Confusing system but seems slightly different with Hamza just dropping from midfield to centre back rather than inverted full back.

Ndidi definitely seems to be the most advanced midfielder though and Marcal sticking very far wide, as Mavididi did at the weekend so seems a deliberate plan.

Most of the time it looks like a back 3 with Justin right and Doyle left. Hamza is dropping into the defence a lot but seems to be slotting in at left centre back when he does, with Doyle staying left back.

When we have the ball, Doyle is on the left of the back three, often quite wide. So if we lose possession and Choudhury is closer to the central defensive position and Burton are in a threatening position, he'll drop in there and Doyle will stay wide. But if there's time to go to left back, he'll go there.
