You won't get banned for doing that. You will get banned for writing what Alex wrote.

If Chandler or Blue Mistress etc had written what Alex wrote I'd have had people demanding life bans for it!

I don't think it upset everyone -- because I deleted it before many people had a chance to see it. And Alex was allowed back the next day.

Some people seem to be upset that he was suspended in the first place (without knowing why he was suspended!), but what he wrote was the clearest breach of the forum rules you're ever likely to see.
