Development Squad midfielder Callum Wright has joined Sky Bet League Two side Cheltenham Town on loan until the end of the 2020/21 season, subject to Football League approval.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who is captain of the Club’s Under-23s group, has impressed this term with a total of seven goals from the middle of the park across 17 games in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy.
Wright joined the Foxes as a 17-year-old from Blackburn Rovers in 2018 and has maintained an impressive level of progress as a member of the Development Squad in the seasons since his arrival.
He’ll now continue that progress with experience of the Football League, where he joins a Cheltenham Town side currently fourth in the League Two table as they prepare to travel to Harrogate Town on Tuesday night.
