Fourth Official saying that Cambiasso has signed, done deal. Just not saying who for.

Lets await official confirmation but fingers crossed. I have a good feeling about KANTE joining us too. All of a sudden our midfield looks like it could be quality we are looking for.
Kante said yesterday in an interview that the appointment of Ranieri changes everything. Though he didn't say it was less or more likely to come here.

I'm guessing that he hadn't spoken to Leicester to date as we didn't have a manager, now we do he may want to speak to us. Adding to that the fact that Marseille have pulled out and (all being well the above news is correct) he can learn from one of the best in Esteban. Just gives me a good feeling that things are coming together.

In all seriousness he needs to make his mind up, he's losing time training with the group and we need to make plans for life without him if that is the case.

Maybe his brother/agent is like all other agents and whispered in his ear, "New manager. New deal. More money. Let's negotiate some more."

Esteban's behaviour and interviews suggest that money has not been his prime concern though, he has had plenty of lucrative offers from other Prem clubs, unlike that ungrateful wretch and his agent formerly of Liverpool.

I think that's unlikely. The manager would have nothing to do with the financial side of the negotiations. The same deal will be on the table regardless of manager I would have thought.

I am not so sure. At the end of the season Esteban had said he had achieved all that he had wanted to - Premier League. Great Team. Great manager. Great owners. Loved by great fans.

He does not need to play for us again, and he never said he would consider playing for anyone else. I think the new manager is a factor, but not financially.

With Pearson he was guaranteed to be first choice on the teamsheet, and effectively 'captain' the team on the field with his tactics.

Maybe he is looking for similar assurances from Ranieri?

Tell him he is grounded until he has made his mind up.

Would be great to keep him on, I'd like to see him take on a player/coach role with us this season.

He has to get him back in the house first. He hasn't been seen since being spotted jogging round Knighton Park with Ulloa a week ago.

Probably controversial but should we be hanging around to see if Esteban will sign or not? As a club we need to move forwards assuming that he will not sign and make other plans. If he does decide to stay with Leicester for another season then all good and well.

We made sure we had alternative options last year when he dragged it out, why would you think we don't now?

Well if we have other options we should be looking to get them in. We have lost our first choice midfielders in Esteban and James.

I expect Rudkin and Walsh have been looking for at least two good midfielders since James was injured and Cambiasso said 'Maybe'.

I get the impression they have a long list of desirable players that they have been tracking for 1-2 years, so it would be a question of starting at the top to see who is available and patiently working down the list.

It would be good to see some movement in that area but I guess players will have been waiting to see who takes charge of the club before committing their future. Next week will be critical methinks. Time to let the new boss settle in and still allows new players to bed in with a couple of weeks of training with the team.
