I think the board one way or the other have to come out after the Palace game and either back Levein to the hilt and give him to at least the end of the season or sack him. The biggest problem at the moment is the speculation and pressure that is mounting that each game could be Craig's last, this isnt helping the supporters, the players and it certainly wont be helping Levein.

So Mr Davies please start to earn your salary, if you still believe in Craig then please tie your knickers to the mast and give the bloke your full backing and allow him to get on with his job secure in the knowledge he has your public backing. If not then just put the guy out of his misery, whatever happens this silence is not good and it certainly isnt creating the togetherness this club needs to pull through this difficult situation.

I don't think the board have anything to say.

They have no one there with any resources to put into the club. They have a business plan with a tight budget and little flexibility. They are facing a continuing downturn in turnover.

So, it must be tempting for them to remain silent and hope for the best without incurring unplanned expenditure.

This is Levein's greatest strength - he has a board that finds comfort in inertia and a largely downcast support from people who have already paid their money for this season ..and who to a great extent have stopped believing that anyone any better than Levein could be brought in.

The only factors working against the above are that Levein is plainly hopeless at managing at this level and the day of reckoning will arrive even if we are not relegated because it will take a bit more than the usual crap propaganda to sell sufficient STs for next season. I would have thought the only strategy there would be to continue to get across that if you buy a ST you save lots of money over match day tickets but it's hardly the sort of line that is going to inspire any enthusiasm. The other factor is that because Levein is hopeless and will not achieve results that raise the prospect of seriously better times that eventually the climate will become too uncomfortable for the man himself and he might just walk away........ the best chance being a job in Scotland.

The 'Board' seem to be burying their heads in the sand hoping 2 or 3 decent results will silence the people who want CL out (I'm not one of them). They need to say something even if it is a load of bollox because their silence is helping nobody.
CL said on RL he will never walk away from the Job so they will need to sack him.He might be a lot of things but I doubt he is a 'Quitter'

i remember when the crewe then millwall then reading then norwich were must win games. maybe we keep kidding ourselves. i thought i season ended yesterday, maybe thats over the top?

Our season is far from over. After Nov and Dec the play offs have gone, but we must avoid relegation at all costs. I'll get slammed for this but the cup match against Spurs is an unwelcome distraction. Not that we'll beat them, its just that we don't need injuries and suspensions from a competition that we ain't going to win. IMO it should be all eyes on the league , its the only thing that matters.

TBH I don't think our players are good enough that we need to worry about any individual player getting injured. It just means that another equally poor, uninterested player, that isn't fit to fill anybody's boots, will fill their boots

i completely agree i would rather beat sheff weds than spurs given a choice also december was the only month where we didnt win a game lets hope this month is better!!!

Imo its the Cardiff home match after Sheff W where it could all boil over. I can't see us winning either the Palace or Sheff W games. If thats so then by the time we play Cardiff we will be in the relegation zone. Then reality will it home for even the CL supporters

This was my opinion a few weeks ago. For once Brauny may have got it right:102:

I don`t think the club will make any rash decisions over Craig`s future, the Sheffield Wednesday game now becomes an important one lets see what happens after that.

Hmmmmm i'm waiting with baited breath
