First of all, I said we would finish 4th which was met by laughter from DD, ex of TB.

Tbf Lako every manager coming up from the Championship to the Premiership is on a hiding to nothing. Their position is made even harder when you have heavy financial backing. Every promoted team needs strengthing yet they can not compete against the financial deals that the likes of Wigan can offer due to their runs in the top flight. So there are two routes; buy abroad or buy from the lower leagues to strength.

Southampton have bought from abroad and it's failing them bad. Norwich bought from the lower leagues and it's treating them well. So given Pearson's preference to buy from the best of the lower leagues I would say it is far too easy to write him off because of his supposed reptuation.

Tbh Hazz it wasn't the recruitment that was worrying me, It's the fact that I don't think Pearson could tactically make us effective in the best division in the world.
