Steven Gerrard is a fcukin legend, what a player he is to both Liverpool and England. He is absolute class and I believe we can win Euro 2004, but it's easier said than done. Man Utd have a good enough team to win The Champions League, but probably won't win it again for a long time.

We played very very well on saturday and the turks looked quiet. If you can make a team like Turkey play as absent as they did in front of their own hostile crowd then your doing something right. England were a pleasure to watch on saturday especially after 10 Nelson Mandella's (stellas) but seriously I think we will do alright in euro 2004. Rooney will be more and more experienced, Owen will be shit hot as usual. Beckham will be a leader as always, Gerrard will be exceptional and so will Rio and Campbell.

The only one player who I don't think is good enough is Ashley Cole! He's about as useful as a poo in a dobber.

England v. Turkey

MK Fox - you thought Scotland played better than England??? Terry looked like he was an England regular, Campell was a rock at centre-half & even Neville & Ashley Cole had great games defensively. Knowing Turkey would be an immense offensive threat (playing at home & needing to win) I watched with trepidation, but there was no need to worry - Suker resorted to pathetic diving attempts & the Turkey forwards rarely looked dangerous. Englands entire midfield was busy, passed better & got stuck in better, with heskey & Rooney putting pressure on the Turkey defence every time they ran at them. Every England player had a good game. Great team performance for the Three Lions, great result for the country. And MKFox...think before you speak next time. Scotland's performance was better than England's? Are you sure you're not a Man Utd fan?

easy tiger
i stick by it too
if you saw any of the scotland game (especially the 2nd half) you couldn't disagree with me.

they needed to win, we needed to draw and that was blatent in the way both teams played their respective games

Scotlands performance equalled that of englands, they both got what they needed. But, imo, scotland played better football....

apartr from henry most of france's good players are getting old(vieira, desially, lizarazu, petit, candela) barthez doesn't paly for manyoo, so i think we have agood chance of beating them. spain and holland(better than them) still have to qualify, portugal rely too much on figo. i think the only main contenders will be italy and if we are playing with our strongest 11 i tnihk we can beat italy too oh and garrmany will get knocked out first round. england for 2004!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Why would Portugal really on Figo when he is not even the best attacking midfield player in their squad. They have the legend that is Manuel Rui Costa to do that.

Italy have a much better team than us but we could beat them in an one off match.

I think you are probably right in dismissing Holland because they have an Idiot manger and an aging defense with some poor players filling holes arpouind some truely great ones. But Spain are a different matter. They the great attcking players and may hit form by the time the championships come around.

Trezeguet Henry and Viera are 3 of France's best 4 players. They are all still quite young. None of their players are that old and you coulkd be right to tule them out for world cup 2006 but not for 2004. Players like Zidane , Pires and Thuram may just produce some of the best football of their carrer when they need to. It does not matter that Barthez is not playing because they have a far better keeper in Sebastian Frey ready to step in.

I know it's likely they will through the Play Offs, but don't you think it's too early to be talking about Spain and Holland as potential winners? Let them get through first, and then we will see.

Mind you, Scotland aint gonna provide any real challenge to Holland......

Lads, ur having a laugh right

England winning Euro 2004 or any tournament in the forseeable future (By that I mean in the next 20 years) is as likely as Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden sharing the Nobel Peace Prize...
