Ken Bates is loaded. He received half a percent of that Russian geezer's wealth and could clear Leeds debts, get them Hulse on loan, Derry from Palace and now King from Trees

Bates hasn't put much of his own money into Leeds, he's just a front man for the person who put the money in.
