leicester have taken to opportunity to look at the 33 year old striker, after being released by milwall.

os

Please no. :icon_conf :icon_conf

he could turn out to be the experienced professional we need :icon_conf :icon_lol:

In fairness to him, the same was said when we were linked with gifton noel-williams, he scored a hat-trick the other day, this guy might be ok as a different option, the next brian deane possibly?

err, no

Question, if we can take a player on trial who may have a good trial, then how can we afford the wages when we have no money at all. Surely signing Asaba would be the same amount of cost as the likes of a loanee.

Perhaps we need to read this thread in conjunction with the one about Hume leaving.

Or perhaps not.

Another scenario:

he comes on trial, costing nothing apart from incidentals. Trains (possibly plays) with the reserves providing them with the opportunity of facing / playing witha seasoned pro. Meanwhile he has a showcase where other clubs can have a look.

How many trials can you recall in recent times that have led to a contract?

Point one we have been "misinformed" yet again. :icon_roll After all we wouldn't take someone on trial unless we were thinking of taking them on a contract some sort, or would we? :102: Ergo there is more money. :icon_roll

Point two is well made and indeed we may be able to get a loan deal where both clubs pay the wages thus leveraging our own money. ;)
