anyone but teams from our league.
Would most like a struggling Prem team such as Brum, Villa or WBA at home.

We must be due a glamour tie, but I reckon Palace away, which would be about the worst draw we could get.

For me, a tie that gets us on TV in the States would be nice... :icon_wink

So maybe a 59-59 draw with Preston on saturday?

I can just see it being Blackburn too HF, but away.... craphole town, crap team and another dive knocks us out... :(

Arsenal away would be nice - one of two remaining chances to visit a classic old football ground. And I'd be able to go.

Yeah with you on that one. Arsenal away, never been, always wanted to but never got round to it!

I went once on a cold Boxing Day, its a 12.30pm kick-off and they beat us 6-1.

I would prefer Villa Away

But we'll probably get the most uninspiring tie of Reading or Palace at home.

The first time i went it was the most boring match ever. Nothing happened till the last 10 mins. We then took the lead:icon_eek: had a player sent off ( and Charlie Nicholas of Arsenal) and then conceded 2 quick goals to lose. Typical Leicester. I think that was about 1984. Feck i feel old.

The worst thing about the whole day was not the thrashing and not the humilation. But when some cheeky old cockney **** said 'Cheer Up! Its Christmas.'

Then as we were in a council mini-bus we used the bus lane to get off London. I remember off my Dad's mate who was driving 'Bus Lane? We're a bus', zoom into the bus lane.

The first time I went, we won 4-2. I hitchiked down from Rugby with my sister. I remember they had a defender called Simpson who scored one of our goals with an outrageous slice.

They all count.

That was 1966. Old git.

The first time I went to Highbury was the league cup match there in 1991 - we lost 2-0. We drew 1-1 at Filbert Street two weeks earlier, Ian Wright making his debut for the Arses.

We've had a few thrashings at their place over the years...
Twice we've lost 8-0, we've also lost 8-2, 6-0, 6-1, 5-0. Not our favourite away ground..

Been 3 or 4 times, can't remember. The last one was when we acquitted ourselves very well in the final game of the relegation season, taking the lead and being denied at least one, possibly two, good penalty shouts before losing 2-1. They, of course, needed to avoid defeat to match Preston's record from '88-89 of going through the season unbeaten. Hilarious sight of 40,000-odd Londoners visibly crapping themselves when we took the lead. If we'd played like that through the season we'd have stayed up no problem :frown:

It's a beautiful Art Deco stadium, that's why I'd like to go back before it's knocked down. And it's a walk/bus ride from my house!

i'd like to go to Highbury. would be a first for me, never managed to get tickets to it. two seasons ago i was less than amused that i couldnt get tickets for arsenal away or newcastle away, the first costing me over 150 for the train tickets, and the second being a stop on the bus route that leaves from outside my front door. grrr!

Any non-Prem outfit away. We seem more relaxed about it all away from the Walkers. Shouldnt be this way, but certainly in cup competitions we seem to do better off-site?

But looking at the teams remaining, we are bound to get the Arse away or something similar.
