OK here we go - into the Lions Den, or The Lions Shed!

Nobody will give us a chance, just like Villa, so let us hope Chelsea are asleep for the first 10 mins and we can nick a couple of goals!

We all know that for us to have a prayer, even in a cup game, they will all have to have a 'mare', and we will all have to play our greatest ever game!

However I have a cunning plan to help even things up a bit.

We take down there Julio Ferreira and get him to swap shirts with Paulo Ferreira. They are both the same age, Portugese, both played for FC Porto and are probably cousins! Small problem though that Paulo is 4 inches taller and a stone heavier!

Anybody else got a better cunning plan to help us win this one?

C'MON GERRY AND FRANK'S BLUE AND WHITE ARMY!

Unless we get Gerry Francis as our new manager, never will I use the name 'Gerry' and the words 'Blue and White Army' in the same sentence...

Whatever we do we have to be tight for the first 20 minutes or so. If we concede an early goal we would have to come out looking for a reply which would give them space to get in again.

If we hold them off for more than half an hour the crowd might get restless - we know how fickle they are down there.

If by some miracle we are still at 0-0 on 80 minutes then I fully expect us to exploit their spaces at the back as they try to go all out for a goal.

It *could* happen...........

We'll stuff 'em 3-0!

We can upset the odds - Walsh

Steve Walsh believes Leicester City have both the defensive prowess and style to upset the odds against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.

Walsh believes City's qualities at the back can go a long way to securing a result in the Carling Cup fourth-round tie, and that the way they play may suit a contest against a Premier League rather than a Championship side.
The former City skipper said that was in evidence in the last round at Aston Villa, when City won 1-0, adding that Frank Burrows' team may get more time and space at Chelsea rather than in the cut-and-thrust of a league game.
Although Walsh thinks it will be difficult for a side likely to contain youngsters who have never played at Stamford Bridge before, he feels City can rise to the challenge.
Walsh, who threw his hat into the ring for the vacant manager's job last Friday, said: “It will be a very nerve-racking experience as they are on a good run of results. But I will stick my neck out and say they can do it.
“In the Championship you can't always play good football, and Leicester have got players who want to play football. However, in the Premier League you sometimes get more time on the ball. It is a tall order, but I see no reason why they can't go out and do it. The team has been strong defensively and well organised in recent games.
“They have a formula and a system that suits playing away from home. That showed at Aston Villa.”
Walsh was part of the team that played in City's last cup tie at Stamford Bridge - a 1-0 defeat in the FA Cup in 1997 when referee Mike Reed awarded a controversial penalty.
Walsh said although he can understand why Reed felt it was a penalty, the night still goes down as one of his worst experiences in football, and he can still picture the scenes that followed the incident.
He said: “It was a horrible experience to go through after all that hard work.
“My initial thought, like many others, was that it was a penalty.
But the reaction of our players and the replays showed it was not. It was not the worst experience I have had in a game of football, but it was certainly in the top five or six.
“I remember there was a big ruck with about 10 players after the incident, including Dennis Wise and Frank Sinclair who went on to play for City.
“Dennis and I had a big go at each other, Frank came diving in, there was a big scrum with a few slaps and that was it!”
The City faithful will be hoping for the rub of the green from the officials tomorrow when Phil Dowd will be in charge.
Fulham are reported to be lining up a bid for City defender Patrick Kisnorbo.

Yes with excellent judgement like that, i think Walshie would do much better to remain a "City Legend" rather than continue in sports journalism or enter football management.

Except - i would have liked his list of those of our players "who want to play football". I expect they beg whoever the boss is at any particular moment in time to let them go out there and mesmerize the opposition - but their pleas are to no avail.

A few injury worries it seems, if we lose Clemence, Weso and Hume I don't give us any chance

suppose we will do well to keep the score down(a 2-0 loss would seem ok), however i think it depends on what side we have available and how many they rest.
Im going for 0-0 and we edge them out on pens. (this is a game where we might need 7 defenders)

Personally I found the bogus "Post Match Thread" a much more interesting read. Anyway, as for will we win, probably not but if we can keep them out until late in the second half then grab a winner I'll be happy. Amazed but happy.
