Funny how we had MAD DOG followed by Nutty Holloway. I am fully behind the new strategy of getting a dour pragmatist in (NP). The two aforementioned individuals are not right in the head. They both manage teams to bits and then try to instill a siege mentality to build them up. How about sticking with 11 lads and build them up like any other normal manager!!
 
I've leant more to the defence of Martin Allen and his time here in the past, believing that he could've done a good job, and Meelan got rid of him for issues between them..

But then to see the mess he's making of the Cheltenham job, plus the fact that that was the best job he could get, kind of makes me glad we got shot when we did. 40 players used this season? That seems crazy, and a hell of a lot... even by our ridiculous turnover of players over the last 5 years or so (something Pearson has thankfully avoided thus far). That's an average 1.33 debutants per game.

I have to agree with that. I tended to blame Milan for last seasons debacle.Looks like I was wrong, Allen really was a grade 'A' knobhead.

come on Matt be fair, the bloke was a complete **** even before the season started. But the mongies made a big thing about him after the big home win we had. He had to go though he really did.
 
I admittedly was one that jumped on the Martin Allen bandwagon and thought he was the best thing since sliced bread. I soon realised however that the bloke was both out of his depth and also a complete and utter
