Chilwell or Fuchs next season?

At some point you have to make the choice to go with the young player, I think we should make that choice now with Fuchs around to mentor and back up.

To develop Chilwell needs games and a loan to the championship is useless and a loan to a prem club is just a way to sell him.

The difference between Fuchs and Chilwell isn't all that big so just play him, let him develope and just accept the occasional short term loss for long term gain.

What do you all think?

I think he's an exceptional talent and will make the LB role his own very soon.

Perhaps Fuchs should move into the centre of defence or push forward more in front of Chilwell?

suppose that depends on summer signings when I look at our squad I really do think it suits a 343 really well, but I'm assuming we will be stuck with 442 unless a completely new manager is appointed which I doubt is happening

Chilwell should already be our LB.

Fuchs has been great to end the season but he was poor earlier and should have been replaced by chilwell.

Chilwell for LB, maybe Fuchs can play RB and become the second best in the Prem. :p

I think it suits 3-5-2 even better.

if Mahrez is playing central in that then no he doesn't seem to thrive in that role

I don't think we need to worry about that next season.

I like Chilwell but it concerns me that he seems to have a had a single major mistake in every game he's played that invariably has lead to a goal. I hope this is him being unlucky. But I'm not convinced.

I agree.

He's great going forward, but as we know with the whole Danny Simpson discussion, it's all about defending for a defender. And Chilwell still has a fair bit to learn.

It's a tricky one, because we need him as back up even though I would quite fancy him having a loan spell away.

Simply not good enough yet

He may well be one day, but nowhere near at this moment in time

Dribbling and bombing down the wing is great, but sometimes it is more important to make sure you know when and how to blast the ball into row Z, or to take a player out like Huth, Big Wes and Big Was do, before they get into the box.

Stones still has a lot to learn in that department.

Chilwell needs game time to learn, either with us or a good Championship team.

Fuchs has come good this season, I'm no doubt sure as a result of Nandos being brought back on the post game menu. He won't have too many seasons as a Prem player left in him so we should be looking at available cover.
