My manner is what my manner is; I can't change it just to suit.

My remarks were made in response to a particular comment by Brauny Blue and related to the fact that I believe that MON's managership was only good for us in the short term. I note that you have still not denied that there was a progression along the lines I quoted. If you want to suggest that I was inferring that MON was the cause of us going into administration, that is a matter for you. What I have written since should make it clear that I think there was a variety of causes - and there are others which I have not mentioned.

I do believe however that the board pre-the Donington Park showdown held a tighter rein than the one that was formed after it. I do believe that that board would have not give PT the amount of latitude to spend, spend, spend. I do believe that with that board we would not have reached the position where we had to go into administration. MON and his methods started the process that got rid of that board.

In a sense what I am saying is that MON became bigger than the Club and in the long-term, I believe that was not of service to the Club. In years to come, it may be seen that CL's rebuilding has a longer-lasting effect than did MON's few years of glory.

I'm sorry that you feel that I will not discuss this to a conclusion; I have difficulty in knowing what you would like the conclusion to be. Please continue to debate or not - as you choose.

Having worked with Pierpoint and been involved with the club in a very small capacity at the time (although family was involved much higher up) I can catagorically state you are talking bollocks.

BP was trying to run the club, football and commercially and wasn't keen on funds being freed to purchase players as he felt that the club was a business first rather than football. BP had his nodding dogs on the board and so if we didn't have as strong a manager as MON chances are if BP had stayed we would be currently have been chanting "Where's the Money Gone" & "Sack the Board" to Mr Barrie Pierpoint our Chief Exec and manager of the team.

MON gave us a platform of footballing and financial stability, it was down to the poor management on both sides that followed that let us down, nothing to do with MON. If I had to go back again I would still hold a Pierpoint Out banner and support MON's protest.

If Pierpoint hadn't have had such an ego and stuck to the commercial and marketing side instead of telling footballing people how to do their jobs, he would still be here and I agree we probably wouldn't have been in admin thus, if you wanted to draw a timeline and a 6 point plan, add an extra one at the top and list "Did BP interfere in footballing matters when he knew nothing about it at all YES/NO".

It was BP methods and meddling that caused the rift and was nothing to do with how MON worked. It would have happened to any manager (and actually did to an extent occur under BL).

The war on terror and indeed islamic fundamentalism can be traced back to the signing of Peggy Arphexad

thatll be point number 7 :icon_lol: ;)

Absolutely,Pierrepoint wanted to introduce the 2 sugar sachets per person Rule which would have effectively saved the Club thousands and saved us from Administration but MON wasn't having it and went as far as demanding a Sugar bowl

I'll stop now Its just getting silly...
